Capping credits once the threshold is reached


Here’s a Sales Performance Management Tip for Xactly on capping credits once the threshold is reached. Working with a client in this situation, we used credit rules and Triggers to achieve these results. The caveat was that the threshold calculation might or might not vary in the upcoming FY and they needed to minimize modifications during that time. Considering the future effort, we leveraged Xactly Connect to achieve the same results. We re-used many of the Connect modules we built for them and configured a few more additional steps for the threshold calculation. It was scalable and thoroughly tested.

As the threshold logic has changed this year, the scalable additional value we created in Connect a couple of years back eased the FY rollover process for them.
