Strong Response for First Collaborative SPM Event with IBM and Accelteam in Malaysia
November 04, 2013
I am thoroughly amazed with the strong turnout for the very first seminar in Malaysia entirely organized by us with our partners, IBM and Accelteam held on 29th October 2013. The attendance which included senior sales management executives from nine of the major financial institutions in Malaysia, a major Telco organization, and another healthcare company demonstrated the market’s strong interest in sales performance solutions which we discussed in a previous blog post.
In the seminar, we discussed global trends on aligning sales behaviour with corporate goals and ways to automate the designing and deployment of profitable sales commission models. We also showcased a solution using technology from the IBM Business Analytics suite. Cognos Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) was integrated with Cognos Planning TM1 and Cognos BI.
IBM Cognos TM1 is an enterprise planning software platform that is available as an on-premise or cloud solution to help companies accurately model and forecast business performance. IBM’s Cognos ICM solution helps organisations accurately model sales compensation and track performance, providing a competitive advantage to outperform. By combining this technology with insight and advanced analytics from Cognos BI companies are now seeing, predicting, and shaping business outcomes across finance, operations, customer relations and sales organizations.
Questions brought up at the end of the seminar showed that many are keen to know more how SPM can help deliver actionable results for their organizations.
I am also happy to have IBM and Accelteam showing firm support as we presented our joint value proposition to the attending media during our press announcement that was held during the event.
We are already seeing some good media coverage with more to come:
If you attended this event, we’d love to hear your experience and feedback. Stay tuned for future SPM breakout sessions expected in the New Year.
