As a member of OpenSymmetry's Professional Services organization in EMEA, the SPM Technical Consultant is responsible for working within implementation teams to help clients analyse, improve and automate their variable compensation payment processes.
In this position you will develop knowledge and experience of compensation systems in an on-site, client facing role.
The Role
The successful candidate will receive intensive training in the areas of data integration, business intelligence and general SPM concepts.
On completion of training you will be placed on a project alongside a senior consultant where you will get exposure to a real life project and gain an appreciation of what is expected from an SPM consultant by the client.
As an OpenSymmetry Consultant your main role will be to implement large-scale business application software solutions, specifically in the SPM industry.
You will also develop general technical skills to support your ability to implement software solutions.
Our clients range across many industries including major financial institutions, software houses and telecommunications companies; you will become able to adapt to each different environment.
The role requires travel to client sites on a regular basis.
Typical activities include:
- Liaising with clients to gather their project requirements
- Implementing software solutions to fulfill the project requirements
- Testing application solutions and upgrades
- Providing on-site application support
- Designing, coding, testing and documenting enhancements and new functionality for enterprise level applications
- Skills include: Bespoke SPM software, UNIX, Windows, Java, C++, Visual Basic, Actuate, Informatica, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, SQL, PL/SQL
The Candidate
We are looking for graduates with a good degree in a numerate discipline and ideally some post-graduate experience, or recent graduates with 1-2 years of commercial experience.
You are confident in your programming and analytical skills, and you are articulate and presentable.
You are driven, eager to progress and keen to take on real responsibility.
You have the desire and the ability to realise your full potential in a short timeframe.
You are willing and able to travel up to 100% dependent on project needs.
You must be legally entitled to live and work in the UK.
